Remedial Massage & Ortho Bionomy

Healing is a matter of time, but it is also sometimes a matter of opportunity.
— Hippocrates

What is it?

Massage is an ancient form of physical healing that has roots going back to the first human societies. Almost all cultures on the planet have and use some form of massage or physical treatment methodology.

As such the goal of remedial massage is to treat a particular condition or problem that a person is suffering from, by treating the cause and not just the symptoms. Remedial Massage uses a variety of techniques to treat conditions, techniques can include, gentle or firm strokes on the muscles, friction or pressure, body movements, stretching and body positioning.

Remedial Massage can be employed to treat specific problems over the course of one to a few visits, or can be used as a form of regular maintenance to keep the body feeling great. Many athletes and busy professional alike benefit from a regular Remedial Massage treatment.
